The groundbreaking event took place on August 30th, 2024, at the vibrant Crusifix Games and Lounge, located within The Palms Mall—a venue quickly becoming a hub for the region’s competitive gaming scene.
With 12 universities participating, the tournament brought together some of the finest young esports talents, all vying for glory in EA Sports FC25, the newest chapter in the beloved football video game series. From kickoff, Baji demonstrated tactical finesse, quick reflexes, and an unshakable calm—attributes that carried him through a tense lineup of matches and into the finals.
The grand final showdown saw Baji face off against Gift
a formidable contender from Caleb University, whose strategic play and aggressive attack style had also impressed throughout the tournament. It was a hard-fought match filled with crowd-pleasing moments and near-misses, but ultimately, Baji edged out the win, securing the championship title.
